+ - Trust Finance Director - Open

Digital Media Teacher (Flexible Working Available)

Contract Type: Permanent / All Year Round

Start Date: January 2025

The Merchant Taylors’ Oxfordshire Academy Trust (MTOAT) is looking to appoint a new Finance Director to play a key role in the operation and future development of the Trust. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be highly motivated and will be both a leader and team player.

MTOAT is based in Wallingford in South Oxfordshire and currently consists of Wallingford School, Brightwell-cum-Sotwell Primary School and Aylesbury UTC. We are expecting the Trust to grow with the addition of further schools and the person appointed will play an integral role in driving and supporting this growth.

The Finance Director works as a member of the Trust’s Senior Leadership Team which meets regularly to set the strategic direction of the Trust and plan, organise, monitor and evaluate its work. He or she will be line-managed by the Trust CEO and will work closely with the Trust Operations Director.

You should be an experienced financial leader with an established track record of financial management. An educational or charity background may be an advantage but is not essential and we welcome applications from other sectors.

This is an important appointment and we welcome questions and/or visits from candidates who may wish to find out more about the role. Informal conversations with the Trust’s CEO are very welcome for candidates who are considering applying.

The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check and all relevant employment checks.

+ - Examinations Invigilator - Open

Examinations Invigilator

Casual Basis

Hourly Rate: £11.77 per Hour

Closing Date:  Ongoing

We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and hard-working exam invigilator to join our busy Exams Team.

 

An Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be reliable, flexible and readily available during main exam periods
  • Have good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Work well as part of a team
  • Be confident and a reassuring presence to candidates in exam rooms

Main Duties:

  • To conduct exams in accordance with awarding body regulations and instructions
  • To have a key role in upholding the integrity and security of the examination process
  • Supervise and observe candidates at all times and be vigilant throughout exams
  • Undertake training, update and review sessions as required

General Requirements:

  • Experience of invigilation is not required as training will be given
  • Invigilators are required to confirm their availability in advance of main exam periods
  • Invigilators must confirm the confidentiality and security requirements surrounding the invigilation process are known, understood and will be followed at all times

Hours of Work:

  • We would ask for availability for a minimum of 6 sessions per week
  • Morning sessions start from 8.30am, afternoons from 12.40 pm
  • Exams are not guaranteed to finish before end of school
