It means that staff can choose to focus on modules that best suit student needs and an ever-changing employment sector. There is an expectation that learning is frequently ‘project-focussed’ and that employers have an input to ensure content is relevant to industry. With regards to Digital Media qualifications, it would be helpful if the successful candidate has a high level of practical experience with a range of media production software.

The role would be suitable for an applicant who is keen to influence our curriculum development in preparation for this new course.

This includes 3 dedicated computer suites, an ‘Apple Mac Lab’, demo server room, hardware room, 3D printer, digital media equipment and green screens. Students and staff look after these resources very well knowing that they play a key part in the successful completion of courses. Our students also have the opportunity to visit industry settings in the UK and abroad.

It is worth noting that in preparation for the launch of T Level Digital in September 2024, the school are planning to further enhance the facilities and resources by building a state-of-the-art Digital Media Suite. We would like the successful candidate to have in input in the design of this space and decisions around resources, to ensure that it adequately supports high level technical learning.

Team:

The successful applicant would be part of a three-teacher department and this is likely to grow with increasing student numbers in the coming years. The team are well supported by their Head of Department, SLT line managers and the wider staff body.

If you:

  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification and possess a passion for Digital Media and IT.
  • Have a strong track record of delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Are passionate about supporting young people and are eager to contribute to our innovative learning environment.
