Positive Destinations (2019)

• Destinations are strong with 72% of sixth form students progressing to higher level apprenticeships or employment with training through the UTC employer sponsors and partners and 12% to university.
• 96% of Year 11 progressed into further education, apprenticeships or employment.

Building Studies Level 3

• BTEC Extended Diploma Building Studies 100% success, for the third consecutive year, 21.8% above the published national average. 60% high grades distinction*/ distinction*/ distinction*, distinction*/distinction, 47.7% above the published national average
• BTEC Diploma Building Studies 100% success

Core GCSEs

• GCSEs English and Maths 46% of pupils achieved English and Maths above grade 4.
• 62% of pupils achieved a 9 – 4 in English Language
• 56% of pupils achieved a 9 – 4 in Mathematics

• Outstanding outcomes for BTEC Extended Diploma Building Studies, 100% overall success and 60% high grades distinction*/ distinction*/ distinction*, 47.7% above the national average.

Overall success rates for building studies have improved:

• Constructing the Built Environment: 87.5% achieved full level 2 passes, 43.5% above 2019 outcomes and 20.5% increase on 2018 outcomes.  37.5% achieved distinction/merit grades an increase of 7.5% on 2019 outcomes.
• Designing the Built Environment: 62.5% achieved full level 2 passes, 5.5% above 2019 outcomes.  41.8% achieved distinction/merit grades an increase of 41.8% on 2019 outcomes and 37.5% achieved level 1 pass.
• Planning and Maintaining the Built Environment:  70.8% achieved full level 2 passes, 14.8%% above 2019 outcomes and 20.8% achieved level 1 pass.  33.3% achieved distinction/merit grades an increase of 8.3% on 2019 outcomes

Overall success rates for computing:

• BTEC Digital Media Production 59.9% full level 2 passes, a decrease of 18.85% on 2019 outcomes. 19.9% achieving merit grades in line with 2019 outcomes, no high grades.
• BTEC Information Creative Technology 53.3% full level 2 passes with 6.6% merit grades in line with 2019 outcomes.
• BTEC Enterprise 42.85% achieved full level 2 passes an increase of 7.85% on 2019 outcomes. 21.4% merit grades an increase of 21.4% since 2019.
