AYLESBURY UTC TURING TRIP

Aylesbury UTC students get ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity to travel to Thailand through Turing Scheme in association of World City Links. This trip aims to develop ‘Global Britain’ by supporting UK organisations from higher education, vocational education, in giving students life-changing experience to study abroad. Computing students experience research and development in the major IT manufacturing hub in Bangkok Thailand.

DIGITAL INDUSTRY

The primary purpose of this is to learn new skills, improve your CV and Employability. Work as a global team. Bangkok is the home to many multi national digital companies that supply 60% of the world’s Hard Drive. The Head Quarters of Seagate, Western Digital will be visited. The plant where they manufacture  portable disks, USB flash drives, memory cards and readers, internal drives and MP3 players to say just a few!

CREATIVE CULTURE

Few cities light up the senses as viscerally as Bangkok. It’s both full of culture and fun. A vast informal economy teeming with food stalls and  friendly people. The programme has an array of  daily actives including the river cruise, site seeing the stunning temples, Wat Arun and Pho that resemble mountains.  Going to visit an elephant sanctuary, learning that in Thai culture celebrates the elephant as symbol of fortune.
