Why should you study Computing?
Firstly, the Computing specialism is an excellent opportunity to investigate how computers work and how they are used. It also develops computer programming and problem solving skills. Aylesbury UTC has world-leading founding partners in the IT and Computing industry to support this. Moreover, these employers help us develop the curriculum and influence what we teach to our students. Consequently, this improves students’ employability and transferable skills. Secondly, all sponsors support the UTC, providing guidance to students plus information about career paths, skills and knowledge. They also offer opportunities for progression, placements and employment. The Computing curriculum maps are available on the Curriculum Intent pages HERE
All students joining in Year 10 will work towards completing their GCSEs alongside their choice of Computing specialism.
