Construction Students Make ‘Theatre Debut’ designing props for Local Musical. Bucks UTC Sixth Form Construction students recently made their ‘theatre debut’, with a community-based project which saw them design and construct 60 wooden sword props for Buckingham Park Primary School pupils to use in the musical piece, ‘Play on Words’, shown at Aylesbury’s Waterside Theatre on November 1st. Blog link…

Good-Education Foundations at Wing Building Site. Our industry Sponsor, Taylor Wimpey, gave students a true insight for Construction by allowing them to spend the day with them at one of their building sites in Wing. Network Rail Visit For Series of Lectures and Careers Guidance. Bucks UTC students were visited by Network Rail, the organisation that owns and manages the infrastructure of most rail networks throughout England, Wales and Scotland. Construction Students Tour Crendon Timber Engineer, Leaders of the Truss Industry. CTE are pioneers of trussed rafter production in the UK using technology developed and proven in North America. Students were fortunate enough to learn about both the manufacturing and constructing process, along with an insight into this market. Social media link…

Students Construct their very own Sixth Form area. Students within the College had raised their voice in regard to having a Sixth Form-only study and social area. As part of a project, we allowed them to bring their vision to fruition. A small team from Construction designed and built the area, within a matter of weeks. Social media link…
