We strongly encourage everyone to attend and make the most of this informative and fun event!\nWednesday 12th February 2025 5:15 to 6:45 pm\nAylesbury UTC, Oxford Road, Aylesbury Buckinghamshire, HP21 8PB (free car parking on site)\n \nWho should attend?\n\nStudents, siblings and other family members interested in a career ( https://aylesburyutc.co.uk/about/career-choices/ ) in Digital, Computing, IT\nAll year groups but especially Years 11 – 13 to help with next steps\nYear 8 and 9 students to help with GCSE options\nEven if you have attended previous events – there will be more opportunities to gain further information about possible career routes.\n\nWho will be exhibiting?\nDigital professionals | IT apprentices | Apprenticeship specialists | Higher Education/ University | Careers Lead\n\nCISCO ( http://cisco.com ) – 3 people from different departments including a previous apprentice.\nSOFTCAT ( http://softcat.com ) – Director of the company with a huge breadth of knowledge\nALCOM IT ( https://www.alcom-it.co.uk ) – Local Bucks company that provides IT support to various businesses\nIT Technician support – apprentice and now qualified\nFE Training – IT Manager\nBNU university\nASK Apprenticeships\nBucks Skills Hub\n\n \nWhy should we attend?\nAylesbury UTC’s focus of two career pathways and therefore have specialist knowledge about Careers in Digital. Students will be able to talk to people from different backgrounds about what their job involves. The event will help students with their options choices, for example GCSE, Post 16 and post Sixth Form ( https://aylesburyutc.co.uk/sixth-form/ ). A University exhibitor can provide generic advice on UCAS applications, finance and university life. A Career Lead will be available to answer questions.\n
